Typical replacement interval: Every 6–12 months, depending on water quality, contaminant levels, and water usage.
Replace sooner if:
Chlorine taste or odour returns.
Water flow decreases noticeably.
Water develops an unpleasant taste or smell.
Filtration performance declines.
Carbon block media cannot be washed or regenerated. Replace the cartridge once its adsorption and filtration capacity is exhausted.

A 20 micron or 5 micron sediment pre-filter to remove larger particles before the carbon block stage, extending cartridge life.
