Typical replacement interval: Every 3–6 months, depending on water quality, chlorine levels, and water usage.
Replace sooner if:
Chlorine taste or odour returns.
Water develops an unpleasant taste or smell.
Water flow decreases noticeably.
Granular activated carbon media cannot be washed or regenerated. Replace the cartridge once its adsorption capacity is exhausted.
Best Used With
A 20 micron or 5 micron sediment pre-filter to remove dirt and sediment before the carbon stage, extending cartridge life.
As part of a multi-stage filtration system for optimal water quality and improved filtration performance.
Not Suitable For
Fine sediment removal.
Bacteria or virus removal.
Water softening or hardness reduction.
Dissolved contaminants that are not effectively reduced by activated carbon.
